January 22, 2008 DORSEY ALSTON SPONSORS INAUGURAL 2008 GALLERY SHOWATLANTA - The 2008 gallery show schedule was launched on January 17, 2008 at the Swan Coach House Gallery. The inaugural event featured the eclectic works of artist Drew Norbery, who was present for the opening. The evening was well atended by art enthusiasts from all of metro Atlanta. Sponsored by Dorsey Alston Realtors' President, Jody Abstance and agent Jody Weatherly, the show will run through March 8, 2008. Mr. Norbery is a multi-disciplined artist with southern roots, attending Jacksonville State University and receiving his Fine Arts Degree from the Atlanta College of Art. Along the way he has accumulated an amazing list of exhibitions and high profile projects, such as the Cyclorama Restoration Project. Among the prestigious awards bestowed upon Mr. Norbery is the coveted "Best In Show" award from the Atlanta College of Art Alumni Exhibition. Mr. Norbery attributes his success and unique artistic expression to a strong and unrelenting curiosity about the multiple and constant pressures of contemporary life. The show opening gala was also hosted by members of the Forward Arts Foundation, whose members foster and support the visual arts in Atlanta. Gallery Curator Marianne Lambert is delighted to have Drew Norbery's exhibit as the first event of 2008, calling it, "an amazing body of work that ranges in style from classical realism to minimalism and beyond." She encourages everyone to come and enjoy this exhibit, which is open to the public. The Swan Coach House Gallery is located at 3130 Slaton Drive, N.W. in Buckhead.
