An Atlanta native, John offers in-depth knowledge of the Metro Atlanta residential market and a strong commitment to client success. With a background in business and real estate investment, he brings proactive communication, attention to detail, and an entrepreneurial mindset to every transaction.  

Before joining Dorsey Alston, John was CEO of Mori Luggage & Gifts, his family’s multi-store retail business. He negotiated leases, sold commercial property, and developed leadership experience that now benefits his real estate clients. After selling the company, he focused on residential real estate investment, managing the purchase, renovation, leasing, and sale of single-family homes.  

John is a graduate of Wake Forest University and Emory University’s Goizueta Business School (MBA). He currently serves as Board Chair of Agape Youth & Family Center and on the Board of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta. He is also active with The Rotary Club of Atlanta, YPO, Cherokee Town & Country Club, and Peachtree Road United Methodist Church.  

John and his wife Anne live in Buckhead and have two adult children.
