Agents Lead Dorsey Alston to Best Year Yet

Dorsey Alston, Realtors had another banner year in 2019, and it was 100% thanks to the incredible agents who choose to hang their shingle at Atlanta’s oldest and largest locally owned and operated residential real estate company.

Founded by Roy Dorsey and Robert Alston, the company is celebrating its 73rd year in business, and business is good. Brokered sales were up 22% in 2019 compared to 2018, making it the best year in Dorsey Alston’s history.

President and CEO Michael Rogers has been actively reinvesting in the company, opening an intown office in Virginia-Highland this year and hiring additional marketing and support staff.

That’s a credit to the agents who continue to lead the market and the community. Managing Brokers Patrick Wood, Rip Sartain and Carson Matthews announced the top agents in the company at the first sales meeting of 2020 last week.

The No. 1 Realtor for the umpteenth year in a row is Patti Junger, with a closed sales volume of $58.8 million. Alden Potts earned the top spot for individual agents, with $30.5 million in closed sales in 2019.

Beery + Friedman + Cummings, led by Molly Beery, Geoff Friedman and Cia Cummings; Stephanie Marinac &Harvin Greene; The Guthrie Group, led by Charles Guthrie; The Blair Sells Team, led by Blair Branch Huckeba; and Kathy McLean & Allison McWilliams were the top teams in 2019. Combined, they represent nearly $200 million in closed sales.
