Atlanta’s finest designers have put their mark on the 10th annual Home for the Holidays Designer Showhouse, making it a must-see new construction home within walking distance of Chastain Park.
This year’s showhouse is an English country abode designed by Harrison Design and built by Blackstone Custom Homes. The new 8,232-square-foot Buckhead estate sits on a 1.5-acre lot and features a locally sourced limestone and brick exterior and open spaces filled with daylight.
Each space in the home has been meticulously decorated by the top designers in Atlanta for the holiday season, perfectly timed to motivate, to spark ideas and to get people in the spirit of the season.
Inspired by the work of 19th-century British architect Sir Edwin Lutyens, the five-bedroom home features a sweeping roof, gables, symmetrical design and a long gallery of windows on the second floor. Two separate stair halls and 11-foot ceilings further open up the space.
In the living area, a massive 6-foot-wide fireplace — one of three in the home — befits the grand space and English vernacular. An expansive loggia with a fireplace and separate grilling terrace overlooks the pool and trees in the distance.
