The Buckhead CID released a design video showing off the plans to cap a portion of GA 400, creating 9 acres of new greenspace over the GA Highway. The project dubbed HUB404, planned to open in 2025 will feature unique spaces including the Commons, the Grand Plaza, the Gardens, the Amphitheater, the Lane & Cafes. HUB404 will serve as a connector for Marta, the Beltline and PATH400. Per the article in the Atlanta Business Chronicle HUB404 Conservancy Inc will raise funds through 2020 and begin construction in 2022. The total cost of the project is estimated to be $250 million, and between $1.7-$2 million annually to maintain. The project will create 27,000 new jobs in Buckhead.
