That may sound like hyperbole, but we are Atlanta born and bred — several generations in fact — and to us metro Atlanta is best place to work, live and play.
For this reason, we are launching the Dorsey Alston blog. We want it to become the go-to resource for neighborhood information and housing data that will help you, your loved ones and your friends make informed and intelligent decisions when the time comes to buy or sell a home.
We will post one to two times a week. We will scour the news as we always do looking for new information related to home sales in metro Atlanta and across the country to identify trends.
As we are Atlanta natives and very much appreciate the history of our communities, we will be searching for pieces related to the stories of our neighborhoods, the historic homes and interesting places nearby that are worth learning about and exploring.

A little about us: we concentrate on the metro Atlanta housing market including but not limited to Atlanta, Alpharetta, Ansley Park, Brookhaven, Brookwood Hills, Sandy Springs, Vinings, Roswell, East Cobb, Marietta, Dunwoody and Buckhead.
We were founded in 1947 by Roy Dorsey and Robert Alston. In 1986 my father, E. Paul Rogers Jr., acquired Dorsey Alston. He operated it as a boutique brokerage with 27 agents until his passing in 2000. At that time, I became the CEO, and in 2008, I returned from business school to work in the office full-time as the company’s president.
Since 2008, we have selectively grown to 240 of Atlanta’s most experienced, respected agents with offices in Buckhead and E. Cobb. Our Buckhead office has been the number one office in the Buckhead market since 2009, and we recently received the Best Places to Work award for a mid-size company by the AJC.
